Hello, my name is Catherine DeShetler and I am a LCSW-C. I have been working in the mental health field since 1997. For the last 9 years I have had my own practice. A large percentage of my clients have a history of addiction issues. I worked in an inpatient rehab for 4 years. I have worked in positions ranging for inpatient hospital to community support. My experience has given me an eclectic style. My clients are the experts in their own lives. If you are reaching out for therapy there is something you want to change. First session I want to learn about you and for us to see if our personalities work will together. I will have to ask questions but typically will learn the most information from conversations. I'm looking to learn why you are reaching out for help. I would like to talk about what has worked for you in the past so that we can build on it.
