Shame is a skilled liar, and it can falsely convince us that we're better off facing our struggles alone. But it’s everyone’s first time being a human, and no one has it all figured out! I am passionate about working with folks whose voices are all too often silenced: justice-involved, adjusting to life after incarceration, navigating addictive or compulsive behavior patterns, feeling disconnected from their authentic selves, seeking personal meaning in life, or recovering after religious, domestic, or sexual abuse, harm, or trauma. I offer an inclusive environment in which clients experience me as warm, authentic, and humorous when appropriate. My approach is person-centered with elements of narrative, feminist, existential, cognitive-behavioral, and dialectical-behavioral therapies.
