Dr. Christian is a psychologist, licensed in New York and Connecticut, and a trained psychoanalyst with over 20 years of clinical experience helping patients with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor, Yale School of Medicine, Dept. of Psychiatry; faculty Western New England Psychoanalytic Society. He has taught and supervised in doctoral programs at City College, the New School for Social Research, and the Psychology Internship Program at Yale. He has been a staff psychologist at Beth Israel Medical Center and New York Methodist Hospital. Dr. Christian is past Dean of the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR); the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Psychoanalytic Psychology; a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytical Association. He is Board Certified in Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Psychology and Board Certified in Psychoanalysis.
