About
I am a trauma-based therapist, psychodynamic in orientation. I work with clients holistically, believing we are more than the sum of our parts and our trauma's. I tend to consider myself anti-diagnosis putting a major emphasis on making linkages to our pasts including prior relationships and family ties. I am also a dual diagnosis therapist believing with substance abuse concerns are composed of mental health issues and negative experiences. I also prefer but do not find necessary involvement with services from partners, husbands/wifes ect. I believe that taking a solid history and listening to the client is of primary importance. Its the clients path prefer to be on, I consider myself eclectic but do focus on a psychodynamic ( past orientation) in deciding on therapeutic trajectory. I consider my first session to be a conversation where trust and a path is to be established with the client.
