Life is meant to be lived authentically. The sad reality, however, is that many of us struggle to achieve that. Trauma, mental health struggles, difficult family backgrounds - all this and much, much more keeps us living out of a created "self" that acts as a mask we must wear in order to survive. We feel "safe", but at the expense of our authenticity and our emotional resiliency. While we know we need help, it can be difficult to take that first step and reach out. I invite you to join me and start the journey of healing towards authenticity today. My name is Chris Williams, and I am a former educator turned therapist who enjoys helping people navigate the daily struggle of finding and accepting the authentic self. While my work is focused on the LGBTQIA+ community and youth (ages 10 and up), I enjoy meeting with any adult who is seeking to grow in their understanding of mental health.
