I work with students challenged by learning difficulties that interfere with their academic, social and emotional well-being. These struggles often damage their confidence, competence, joy of learning and ultimately self-esteem. Students want to move forward to become self-confident, independent learners who can advocate for themselves. Adults that I see have executive function difficulties in organizing, time management, project planning to completion, which hurts productivity, self-esteem, their employers’ trust, and jeopardize their work situations. An organization’s culture frequently plays a critical role as well.
