Just as trauma often happens in the context of relationship, so healing can happen in a trusting, therapeutic relationship. My experiences with the adoption triad, a high-control religious environment, and trauma have led me into this work after 30+ years of raising my six children, by birth and adoption. In this, I developed a passion for helping people heal from, adjust to, and manage their traumatic life experiences and transition to healthy living. I work from a self-regulatory, attachment, processing, and connected perspective. I use an eclectic approach including EMDR, CBT, DBT, TBRI, play and psychoeducational approach.
