My patients personal struggles might include: Gender dysphoria, depression, anxiety, worldly stressors, cognitive dissonance, negative self talk. Their needs: Someone who will listen and provide unbiased thoughts. Someone who will approach them with empathy and compassion. Someone who wants to connect with the therapeutic process. Their goals: To wake up each day to feel a little bit better than the previous day. As simple as that. Their wants: Someone who will approach their care as a human and view them as a fellow human who has gone through their own life experiences.
