Why am I a therapist? The simple answer is I enjoy working with people and helping people. The long answer? Because I am passionate about making mental health care more accessible, especially for Latinx and Spanish-speaking communities. Because growing up in a Mexican-American household, I experienced firsthand the stigma around mental health and felt a deep calling to provide culturally competent care. Also, my ability to offer therapy in both English and Spanish allows me to create a safe, supportive space for clients to feel understood, while addressing unique challenges like acculturation stress and family dynamics.
