In my 25+ years as a clinical psychologist, I have repeatedly witnessed this truth: taking the risk to begin a therapeutic relationship is an act of both bravery and self-compassion. Therapy can and should be empowering and transformative. In my work I seek a balance of gentleness, nurture and challenge with those who entrust me with their stories; my clients have shown me that deep change is possible.
