I have 30 years of experience working with students and their families. I worked with college students on university campuses before becoming a national board-certified English teacher in public school. I earned a master's degree in mental health counseling from Eastern Kentucky University. I am level I trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and use play based techniques with children and adolescents (including sand tray therapy techniques). In my counseling sessions, I strive to create an atmosphere grounded in acceptance, client-centered care, and genuine compassion.
