The first time I heard the saying "Nothing About Us Without Us" I fell in love, and I now have regular, ongoing consultation with autistics, including autistic counselors. I'm here to make life easier, kind of like a Mental-Health Interpreter, bridging the gap between the autistic and neurotypical world. Together, we can focus on easier communication, promoting understanding, building connections, and ensuring access to a life worth living. Or, maybe on just making it through the next week. My approach is strictly NON ABA, NON-behaviorally-focused, and highly trauma and PDA-informed.
