"What can you do for my situation," is the question all people ask when they first come to therapy or for psychological testing. Over my 20 years in psychology, I have learned to pause just a moment before answering this. Why? Because finding a quick answer is not better than finding the right answer. Once the problems are understood, my job is to work out the solutions with you, whether that means facing anxiety and fear, pulling out of the rut, or facing things that have happened that are hard to forget.
