I have more than 30 years of clinical experience working in many challenging areas such as hospice, sexual abuse, sexual compulsion, substance dependence, Military/Veteran psychological health, and high suicide risk. Trauma has been a recurrent theme throughout all of these work experiences. As a result, I have developed a special interest in working with trauma and related issues. I particularly enjoy treating trauma with a combination of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I am also trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) which helps clients regulate emotions.
