As a child as early as 1st grade, I gravitated to children who were left out or bullied, sharing my snacks and toys. My family reminds me I have come full circle and it was my destiny to be in the field of helping. As an adult, I witnessed the disparities in mental health care. There are often gaping holes in completion of treatment, and I want to be part of the solution to closing these gaps.
