Are you feeling overwhelmed ? discouraged? hopeless or alone? Early in life we learn to disconnect from our bodies to protect ourselves and adapt to the environment. Often these patterns of protection keep us stuck in a cycle of dysregulation. Through direct moment to moment experience, with the support of a "true other" we notice the tendencies for protection, disconnection and connection as they occur in realtime. The autonomic nervous system's goal is survival. Our goal is embodied presence. I specialize in trauma-informed, arousal - regulation psychotherapy. My work integrates aspects of polyvagal informed, psychobiological attachment science through experiential tracking of your direct experience. Together we identify the difference between perceived and real threat to decrease the over reliance on the hyperactive survival brain.
