Dr. Dean Given works with individuals, couples, families, employers and the court. He provides brief treatment that is goal-directed and solution-focused. While treating a wide variety of problems, he has sub-specialized in the treatment of anxiety disorders. He has given many presentations on various topics including stress, anxiety and anger management, shame, parenting, parent/adolescent conflict, marriage enrichment and the integration of faith and psychology. Dr. Given is a past-president of the California Psychological Association and the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association.
