Dr. Dexter Chia is a Psychologist in California who has been practicing since 2018. He has a Psy.D. from Loma Linda University, an M.A. from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor’s from UC Santa Cruz. At the onset of therapy, Dr. Chia utilizes a humanistic approach to better understand and grow a bond with his clients. When they have developed a working relationship, Dr. Chia employs a cognitive-behavioral framework to collaboratively reflect and assess what to guide therapy toward. Outside of work, Dr. Chia likes hiking, traveling, trying new food, and watching movies/sports (basketball and football in particular).
