My main focus is on understanding the underlying causes of your anxiety or depression with the objective of gaining self-awareness and self-understanding. You will likely talk about your past to see how it may still influence you in the present. Emphasis is on understanding past and present relationships with consideration that thoughts and feelings are neither negative nor irrational, however, making sense of them is a big part of what may help you feel better about yourself with freedom to make emotionally healthy choices by getting to the root of your problems. Micro ruptures in relationships leads to dysregulation of emotions. I am licensed in the states of New Mexico, Maine, & Texas. I offer Zoom or in-person sessions.
