Dr. Paredes, at "Making Connections for Growth, PLLC," believes each of us has the power to lead meaningful lives, build an authentic self, enjoy our present, and contribute to our communities. The name "Making Connections for Growth" captures Dr. Paredes' philosophy, as she believes developing healthy relationships and understanding how our lived experiences have shaped who we are, can help us make choices to be the person we want to be. Dr. Paredes is a bilingual licensed psychologist who offers services in English and Spanish. Dr. Paredes' approach to therapy focuses on relational and insight orientated perspectives to help her clients understand the core of their challenges. She also uses cognitive and behavioral interventions to assists her clients in addressing their unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, as well as unpleasant emotions to make the changes they want in their lives.
