Families consult with me to get guidance on a large variety of issues-from behavioral challenges, childhood aggression, situational crisis such as illness, weening, separation anxiety, or sibling concerns. Some parents need help in learning how to talk to their children about particular topics, some are working hard not to bring the ghosts of their own childhood's into the relationship with their children. Many are trying to figure out what behavior is developmentally appropriate, what behavior needs particular attention and how to set effective limits for their children in a way that feels both strong and loving.
