About
Ultimately, every child wants to feel understood, supported, and empowered. They want to overcome feelings of isolation, confusion, or fear and feel confident in navigating their emotional and social world. They seek healing, connection, and self-expression. Through play therapy, children can make sense of their feelings, build resilience, and ultimately feel happier and more secure in themselves and their relationships. As a therapist, my role is to guide them gently toward these goals, using play as the medium to help them process their emotions and gain insight into their needs. I am passionate about utilizing play therapy to work with children and families who have experienced adverse events or situations. Play therapy provides children with a safe, non-threatening environment where they can explore their feelings and experiences, allowing me to better understand their world and offer the guidance they need to heal.
