I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut (CT 008741) and a former MSW student member of the NASW-CT Board of Directors. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut in 1992 with a major in Psychology and minors in both Sociology and Anthropology. I returned to the University of Connecticut to earn my Master’s in Social Work in 2011, with a focused area of study in Social Work Practice with Older Adults. I also completed an independent research project involving substance abuse treatment for older adults. Additionally, I have been a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Golden Key National Honor Society. I am passionate about human dignity and have served as a Human Rights Officer for individuals diagnosed with severe psychiatric illness. I have experience working with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, etc..
