You cannot recover from anxiety by just remaining calm, or depression by just being positive. Recovery from the battles of life takes time, patience, and releasing old habits. Whether you’re facing mental illness, parenting, relationships, or life transitions; change must occur in order for peace to resurface. It's okay to feel unstable, it's ok for things to not be ok, and it's okay to ask for help. I use a holistic approach, and believe that there is an important connection between the body (our physical health) and the mind (our emotional and spiritual health). I believe that these are equally important and that the neglect of one deeply impacts the others. In order for our work to be most effective, I implore my clients to take care of each of these.
