Hi there, I'm Emmy Acevedo, LCSW the owner of Abide Counseling. I pull from different evidence based practices to meet your unique needs. My passion for helping others emerged when I began volunteering as a mentor for disadvantaged children and youth. After my first year of college, I shifted my major from Biotechnology to Humanities & Social Sciences, uncertain of the future but guided by my newfound passion. Over the past decade, I’ve worked in various roles—ranging from non-profit organizations and in-home community crisis therapy to school social work and private practice.
