Life can feel so difficult - as a kid or a parent. As cliche as it may sound, no one gets a handbook on how to parent their particular child. My work is in helping kids better understand how to manage their behaviors, thoughts, and emotions, and guiding parents in learning how to better support their children. I like to start by highlighting existing strengths, then building on those strengths to tackle the challenges that brought you into therapy. I use talk and play therapy, including books, games, art, music, movement and activities, depending on individual and family needs and interests.
