About

I’m a psychodynamic therapist who cares deeply about building the trust necessary for spontaneous, authentic dialogue. In this way, we will explore feelings and modes of relating as they functioned in the past, as they happen in the present, and as they arise in real time in the room together. As we open the door to change, the challenges we have faced can themselves become a source of creativity, knowledge, and empowerment. I’m trained in adult psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, and I work in Brooklyn Heights and on the Upper East Side with people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds. I’m also a teacher and poet, and I teach writing courses for writers and clinicians at the intersection of psychoanalysis and literature.
