Creating an emotionally safe environment for the client is crucial in fostering personal insight and change. I believe regardless of age, a humanistic approach and strong therapeutic alliance can help establish a connection with the client to allow growth and change. I have extensive experience treating children and adolescents. For 11 years, I traveled into elementary, middle, and high schools to provide individual and group therapy for students. I am comfortable and confident helping children and adolescents better understand and process their feelings, perceptions, and behaviors through the combined use of play-therapy, applied creative arts, and behavioral modification.
