In a short time, I have seen people steeped deeply in substance use and depression overcome their circumstances and prevail. I like to focus on the person and their strengths. I pull from where the client is and use my tools to maneuver around the challenges that they present. My ultimate belief is that people inherently can overcome their challenges, regardless of how immense they seem. I love people.
