I have treated numerous individuals whose issues have focused on depresssion, anxiety, varied grief reactions, and situational stressors. All of them have similar needs in common. They seek understanding, the need to be heard, a safe place to voice their concerns in a non-judgemental atmosphere. Their goals are common. They want to acquire knowledge and ways to seek relief from feelings of depression, feelings of anxiety, new ways of thinking that will open up new avenues of self discovery and hope for the future. Many of them express the need to re-connect with friends, family, to make their lives more productive.
