I have been working in the mental health field for over 28 years and have witnessed the growing awareness of mental health issues. Awareness is essential in the healing process, and I’ve seen firsthand the growth in clients who come to therapy eager to improve their lives. I always remind clients that therapy is just one part of healing, and the effort for change must come from within. Once clients recognize their readiness for change, recovery begins. I started as a psychologist in Cuba, working with children and adults facing family dysfunctions and behavioral issues. After moving to the U.S., I worked as a case manager, which deepened my practical experience and inspired a more holistic approach to helping clients.
