I try to establish a warm, supportive environment in which people feel comfortable discussing difficult experiences. I encourage questions. Clients often need to get in touch with their strengths and learn new coping skills and strategies to enhance their relationships and quality of life. I am friendly and open and provide some structure and education. Sometimes I offer homework to maximize the impact of therapy. Experiences of burnout, midlife transitions and work/life balance have become common in my work. For people without insurance I cooperate with Open Path.
