I have worked as a therapist for over 20 years and have taught at Rutgers University since 2007. I am a retired Army veteran and have been in long-term recovery since 1995. My approach is practical and straightforward. While we talk about thoughts and emotions, sessions focus on reducing harmful behaviors, strengthening healthier ones and improving relationships. Clients often say they feel understood, challenged and supported, and that therapy includes honesty, structure and occasional humor, even during difficult periods.
