The people who come to me tend to be those having difficulty in relationships; those dealing with life transitions (e.g., divorce, illness, marriage, moves, changes in work or studies); and those experiencing loss, trauma, anxiety. or depression. Psychotherapy often involves addressing the fear, denial, avoidance, and other obstacles that prevent us from constructively attending to psychological pain and from leading a life that is true to who we are and to how we want to be in the world. I work best with people who are open to change and who are willing to consider their resistance to change.
