The biggest lessons I learned and I utilize today in psychotherapy practice is that every individual is the expert in their own life and with the right guidance can tap into their strengths to achieve their goals. People need a safe space to work through what is bothering them. The most important question is not "What is wrong with you?", but rather, "What has happened to you?" We are shaped and influenced by our experiences. At times, unfortunately, this comes out as anxiety, depression, unhealthy habits, relationship issues, and a myriad of other mental health issues.
