When I imagine the “ideal client” I do not see a specific person. I see is someone who desires change and is willing to put in the work to attain it. I imagine someone who is willing to be vulnerable, open-minded, and trusting of the therapeutic process. This person understands that there will be hurdles along the way, but they recognize that they do not have to face those hurdles alone. It is my responsibility as a therapist to create an environment where all my clients feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I hope to get the chance to help those who allow me to do so.
