Although my focus has been on helping individuals with substance use disorders, one cannot engage in this work without recognizing past trauma and resulting co-occurring disorders. The work to peel back the layers and explore underlying causes is where the work and healing begins. My core therapeutic foundation is based on unconditional positive regard while establishing multiple sources of community support.
