Happy Camper Counseling practices trauma informed and culturally competent care for adults managing their medical and mental health conditions. My individual clients and couples are seeking an intentionally inclusive and welcoming space for clients to experience their own embodiment of health, hope and healing. Clients are often expanding on what they have experienced in their previous therapies, yoga and meditation practices. I teach mindfulness with DBT, dialectical behavioral therapy and ACT, acceptance and commitment therapy metaphors and strategies. I encourage clients to apply and practice skills both in and out of sessions. I combine traditional narrative therapy with skill building and poly vagal awareness to reduce trauma related and physical pain symptoms.
