My therapeutic style incorporates a strengths-based approach to build off what is already working for you or going well in your life. I foster an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and intersectional approach in my practice by making sure we first establish our positionality and the power dynamic within the therapeutic alliance. I want our sessions to act as a teaching-learning environment—I have just as much to learn from you as you have from me. We will explore what you want to get out of our sessions and work through any psychoeducation on topics you would like to further understand before moving into the work together.
