Hello and welcome to your first step in your healing journey! My name is Heather Suggs and I enjoy helping people reduce inner turmoil that causes stress, emotional imbalance and a variety of mental health symptoms. I assist clients in navigating their world as it currently exists. I am a balanced mix of creating sessions that are goal and outcome-oriented while also interweaving interpersonal and client-centered approaches. I believe these approaches help clients solve their problems and meet their goals. I utilize cognitive/behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness approaches and interventions. I consider my approach to therapy integrative and grounded in the philosophical roots of client-centered therapy. You can also expect me to emphasize insight, skill-building, and interpersonal processes in our therapy sessions.
