About
As a woman of color raised in an Ethiopian family, I deeply understand how cultural identity, generational expectations, and intersectional stressors impact mental health. I also recognize the stigma that often surrounds mental health services in many communities of color—and I want to commend you for taking this brave step toward healing. Navigating multiple cultural worlds can lead to challenges such as impostor syndrome, anxiety, and low self-worth. These experiences can make it hard to feel present, grounded, or like you truly belong.
