Counseling is not so much about addressing "dysfunction" as about having a rich and safe space to be heard, and helped. I tell teens (who believe that seeing a counselor means they're crazy), that I work with normal kids and normal problems. I believe that about all my clients. "Normal" problems are daunting when they appear as depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, divorce, difficulties with kids, and/or burnout. My belief is that every human difficulty makes sense, but sometimes they require a translator and guide. My intention is to provide the space that leads to wellbeing and fulfilling relationships.
