I work with people who struggle with disordered eating, anxiety, and relationship issues. Many of my clients have been disappointed with their past experiences in therapy. They’re insightful and self-aware- they know where they get stuck- which makes it even more frustrating when change doesn’t happen. If this sounds like you, I want you to know it's not your fault. Awareness alone isn’t enough, and simply "challenging your thoughts" can feel like putting a band-aid over something deeper.
