Fundamental to my work is my view of the therapeutic relationship as a profound and unique agent of change and healing in human beings. I seek to be genuine and to know each unique client I work with. I have 25 years of experience working with children, couples, adult individuals, and families. I have particular specialty in trauma and attachment difficulties, parenting issues, couples work, anxiety and depression, issues related to grief and loss, sand tray work, and complex family system issues. I also use therapeutic art and other 'no talk' modalities. I view each client I sit with as a unique being. My style as a therapist is deeply personal, reflective, and clinically based. In my attachment work with children, I utilize Daniel Hughes's dyadic developmental therapy. In couples work I draw from extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy. I feel truly honored to help human beings who are in pain.
