My personality style is welcoming, calm, nonjudgemental but straightforward and funny (maybe mostly to myself!). I believe a positive connection is the foundation to the therapeutic process. Connection facilitates a safe space, builds trust and allows the individual to release troubling thoughts, feelings and trapped emotions in the body. I believe in a mind/body skills approach to healing. For children this may be teaching and practicing skills for them to learn and use at home and school. For adults this may be practicing self regulation strategies that include mindfulness, breathing exercises and other forms of holistic practices to assist in the process of healing.
