Grief is the price we pay for loving deeply and having to let go. It can result from the death of a loved one, end of a relationship, or the loss of a job, home or former identity. Grief can feel simultaneously empty, yet heavy. It can cause confusion of how to go on living a "normal" life. It can also feel like no one else could possibly understand. After a decade of working alongside individuals who were dying, providing counseling to care givers and loved ones, I understand the significant pain and trauma of grieving. I also know how to help in healing and restoring hope.
