I am a nationally certified master's level counselor with over 20 years of experience including, since 2014, volunteering with Tru Hospice facilitating grief groups. I offer counseling for issues related to loss and grief, depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, self-empowerment, divorce, parenting, emotional, sexual and physical abuse, co-dependency, adult children of alcoholics, and adult children from dysfunctional families. I have successfully helped many people navigate a variety of intensely emotional times so that they emerge with dignity, self-respect, increased coping skills and a clearer understanding of themselves and the lessons their experience has provided. Hospice work has deepened my understanding of loss as a universal human experience occurring at many junctures in life. These insights inform my work with clients experiencing losses that arise from: divorce, broken relationships, children leaving home, employment or living changes, health and aging challenges, and the finality of death.
