Why did I became a therapist? My own personal struggles, including surviving cancer twice, dealing with substance abuse, and overcoming depression, led me to seek help for the emotional pain I was feeling. The experience of working with a skilled and caring professional psychotherapist made me want to do the same for others. Thus, began my journey to become a licensed clinical social worker. After getting my master's in social work from NYU school of social work in 2002, I began working in the field. I have worked in different places like hospitals and clinics in NYC, and eventually started a successful privat I have over 20 years of working in the field and helping clients find solutions to challenging life situations. My own personal struggles, including surviving cancer twice, dealing with substance abuse, overcoming anxiety and depression, led me to my own experience of working with a skilled and caring professional psychotherapist.
