Hello, my name is Jennifer, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. Over the past 17 years, I have predominantly worked with children, adolescents, and their families. I specialize in working with this population. My goal is not just to treat the child, but also to equip the parents to help their child at home. My goal is "parent as therapist." While I love my time each week with my client, the parents are the ones doing the real work in the home. As a parent, I know that one of the most difficult feelings is seeing your child struggling and not knowing how to help. My goal in the first session is to really understand what you are going through. I want to gain a clear understanding of your struggles and your goals for therapy. I also want to collaborate on a treatment plan. I like to conclude the first session with an idea of how we will work together to achieve your therapy goals.
