I love clients who are self-motivated and very ready to do "the work". An ideal client is looking for a therapist who will provide direction. If you'd like a clinician with a poker face who sits and says "mmhmm", I am not your gal. My sessions are very interactive, and I love providing emotional homework or food for thought between sessions. I think it is important for potential clients to know that I am queer, Jewish, and a mother of biracial children. I like to hopefully provide a comforting space for those who identify with any of these communities, while also coming from my own place of humility-I certainly don't know it all
